Thank You, Werner Richter!

Art in public space was always very important to Werner Richter. That's why, right after we were on the road a few times in our first season, he noticed us and wanted to work with us, support us and develop joint projects.

He was a committed comrade-in-arms when it came to making art in public space tangible, he repeatedly invited us not only to take part in his performances, but also to create them together, he always made sure that we got a reasonable fee , and he really appreciated us as a committed group that likes to make a bit of a fuss outside.

He often invited us, and about once a year we did something together with his Wildwuchs art collective. We weren't always sure whether we fit together stylistically, but his original, often Dadaistic appearance on our common stage, the street, connected us. Most recently, we gave him a role at the "Strafiato" street band festival in 2019, which he filled out in his own way.

On May 7th, the SNO and Werner Richter met for the last time: We played at his home in Kufstein, in front of “his” gallery: he, marked by his illness, was happy about our performance and we were happy in his speech too appreciated in detail.

Back to our first season in 2014: we had already played a lot and were satisfied to amazed at the successful start of the StreetNoise Orchestra project.

His two day Open Heart Circus, organized by the Wildwuchs art collective, a small, nice and successful art spectacle, was our brilliant end of the season and highlight in July. After a parade, we had our big performance at the finale, even with a full cast (10 people at the time): we experienced there what we can do with a large audience, what possibilities we have as a mobile band, spontaneously the structural conditions of the area for to use us etc.

We and the audience were equally euphoric, and this performance at Werner Richter's small festival was lastingly inspiring and motivating for us as a beginner's band.

Thank you Werner Richter
