Torn between breadwinning work, children raising, partnership and her own life goals a woman tries to survive the relentless demands of the everyday treadmill. Low income, an offensive boss, a toxic relationship maybe culminating in a constant threat of femicide, all of this driving her into a disconnected state of mind… a sort of stand-by-mode, a ‘METANOIA’, where she watches this strange person whom she calls her “self” struggle and drown.
Despite the counteracting melodies and merciless stomping rhythm she finds space for a short breath and an intimate dialogue.
Her determination is echoed in the final statement of this piece:
