The StreetNoise Orchestra cordially invites all of Innsbruck from July 6th - 9th 2023 to an extended weekend filled with music, laughter, dance and partying, in which 8 street bands and over 200 musicians from all over Europe will take part. All musicians perform without charge, and thanks to the kind support of sponsors and the Treibhaus, all events are free of cost.

The bands will trade-off playing a few tunes in a relaxed session before moving to a new position. Enjoy musicians from all over Europe, grab a drink, and enjoy the afternoon.

The name Strafiato not only expresses the tremendous energy of this brass music event, but also pays homage to the Italian "bande aperte" scene who helped birth our band and who are still a source of inspiration for us today. We stand in solidarity with their socio-political commitment, to show how art and democracy reinforce each other and can be made tangible for everyone in the public space.

Street music culture is a creative and innovative art in which the city is reinterpreted as public space. Here in Innsbruck, Austria where the city is symbolically and structurally divided between tourist space and local haunts, we are trying to set into motion new interpretations of the urban space. We reject the urbanization of the 20th century that prioritizes economic development and profit seeking over the vibrancy of human life. Our musical performances encourage communication between interested fellow citizens, creative artists, tourists and the various people responsible for the city administration.

To make Strafiato Festival a success despite reduced funding from official sources, we need your direct financial support. Let's experience the magic of Strafiato together!

Despite our dedicated volunteer team working year-round and the bands performing for free, the costs of the Strafiato festival have significantly increased. In 2019, the costs were 40,000 euros, but this year they are 60,000 euros. The high costs are due to transporting bands from all over Europe, providing food for over 200 musicians, and inflation.

Important info

We need to raise at least 1,500 euros to cover our budget deficit. If we reach that goal, we will try to raise more up to 5,000 euros. All money raised will go towards the travel and food costs of the visiting bands, fees, and logistics.

• The rewards can only be picked up at the festival on 7th or 8th of July 2023 at Treibhaus after 17:00. We do not have shipping as an option. If this is a problem, please contact us and we can sort something out.
• After your donation, you will receive a receipt via email.
• If you donated at a level that includes a T-Shirt, we will reach out via e-mail to request your size and preferred color.
• After the crowdfunding finishes (28th of June), we will send you an email containing a pick-up code that you can bring to the festival to pick-up your reward.
• You can cancel your donation up until the festival starts on the 7th of July.
• Our t-shirts are certified organic and hand screen-printed here in Innsbruck!
